Description
Output is unchanged at 2600 lumens per metre from 240 LEDs, but current drops to 0.92 A — half the 1.83 A of the 12 V version. That is the number that determines run length: with half the current, voltage drop over an equivalent distance is roughly halved, so a run that would need intermediate injection at 12 V can often be fed from one point at 24 V. Fewer feed points means less cabling, fewer connectors, and fewer joints to fail.
The construction difference is the second reason to specify this model. The LEDs are arranged in two rows across a 12 mm board rather than a single row on 10 mm, which widens the light-emitting area and softens the edge of the beam in cove and shelf applications. The trade-off is a 50 mm cut interval — coarser than the 12.5 mm of the 12 V 240 model, so this suits long open runs rather than short joinery sections where length matching matters. Confirm the 12 mm board against the intended channel profile. Rated IP20 for indoor dry-location use, with CE, CB, and RoHS certification held by the manufacturer.
