A chasing circuit draws more current than a static strip and is more sensitive to voltage drop, because the effect depends on consistent behaviour along the whole run — a section that dims toward the far end breaks the illusion of movement. Running at 24V rather than 12V keeps current at 0.38A per metre against the 0.41A of the 12V model while delivering 1150 lumens against 800, so longer continuous runs stay electrically uniform and the chasing effect holds from one end to the other.
The trade-off is at the cut point. This model cuts every 166.7mm — the coarsest interval in the entire L series, and a direct consequence of the 24V chasing circuit's larger group unit. Run lengths must be planned in 166.7mm steps, which on shorter installations demands more tolerance than the 100mm pitch of the 12V chasing model or the 25mm of a standard static strip. It is the specification to choose for long bar counters, extended showcase runs, and perimeter applications where run length is generous and electrical consistency matters more than fine length adjustment.
Like the 12V chasing model, this is a driven product with a 3P interface rather than the 2P of static strips, supplied with controller and 3P board connector (SM-3). Do not cut outside the marked 166.7mm intervals — the chasing effect will not function correctly. Installation is tool-free via double-sided adhesive tape film. Six colour temperatures from 2700K through 6500K are specified at order stage. Rated IP20 for indoor dry-location use, with CE, CB, and RoHS certification held by the manufacturer.
