FAQ
Q: What is the difference between addressable dream color and standard RGB?
A: A standard RGB strip shows a single colour across the whole run at any moment. An addressable dream color strip uses an integrated IC to control LED segments individually, so several colours appear at once and can move along the strip as chase, flow, and gradient effects.
Q: Why does this 5 metre kit have 150 LEDs when the standard RGB 5 metre kit has 300?
A: Addressable control divides the run into individually driven segments. Wider spacing gives each segment visual separation so dynamic patterns read clearly. A denser layout would blend the segments together and reduce the definition of the moving effect. This model is specified for effect clarity rather than maximum brightness.
Q: Is this suitable as a general garden light source?
A: It is a decorative dynamic effects product. Where general illumination is the priority, the single colour or dual white models suit better; where both colour animation and usable white light are needed, specify the addressable dream color plus warm white models in the series.
Q: Does the remote need line of sight?
A: No. The RF remote operates at 10–20 metres through obstructions and is unaffected by dust or grease on the control unit.
Q: Can the strip be cut?
A: Yes, at the marked 50 mm intervals. The connected section retains IP65 protection. Note that shortening an addressable run reduces the number of segments available for effect sequences.
Q: What are the MOQ, lead time, and port of loading?
A: MOQ is 50 sets, lead time 15–21 days, shipping from Guangzhou or Shenzhen. Cartons hold 20 sets each.
