An international luxury jewelry and high-end watch chain headquartered in France planned to fully upgrade the showcase lighting of its flagship boutique in Paris and various branches across Europe. To perfectly exhibit the brilliant texture of gold, diamonds, and premium enamel, they urgently needed a hidden linear lighting solution that could deliver ultimate light quality without being obtrusive.
The key requirements were: exceptionally rigorous color rendering, with a color rendering index of Ra > 95 and a saturated red index of R9 > 90; since jewelry showcases are extremely compact and close to the merchandise, the strip width had to be limited to under 8mm to fit within ultra-slim aluminum profiles, and the emission had to be 100% continuous and completely dotless (no hot spots) to prevent harsh glare or spotted reflections on high-polish jewelry surfaces; additionally, heat dissipation had to be exceptionally low to prevent temperature rises inside the showcase from affecting precious exhibits.
We provided an ultra-narrow 8mm high-density COB LED strip with a high-spec color rendering index of CRI > 97 (R9 > 95). The COB (Chip-on-Board) technology realizes truly "seamless and perfectly uniform" linear emission, delivering a flawless continuous light line even inside aluminum profiles without diffusion covers. Built on a 3oz double-sided copper FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit) board, it boasts outstanding heat dissipation. Paired with precise 4000K and 6000K color temperatures, it beautifully accentuates the metallic luster and gemstone facets of the exhibits.
This solution has been fully deployed across the Paris flagship and over 20 boutique retail locations. The brilliant light-and-shadow play inside the showcases has significantly elevated the visual luxury of the products, leading to a marked increase in sales conversion. The brand owner highly praised the flawless, dotless glow and ultimate color rendering of the LED strips, officially designating it as the standard lighting specification for all new global store fit-outs.
