A well-known German landscape architecture and outdoor lighting design firm was undertaking a large-scale commercial plaza facade and green landscape lighting project in Munich. The project required continuous, uniform, and highly reliable linear accent lighting capable of withstanding rainy, wet, and freezing winter outdoor environments.
The key requirements were: exceptional waterproof, dustproof, and UV-resistant performance (IP67 rating or higher) to ensure long-term outdoor use without yellowing or cracking; to minimize field wiring and installation costs, the LED strips needed to support single-end power runs up to 15 meters without any voltage drop (maintaining uniform brightness from end to end); additionally, completely uniform emission with zero light spots was required to deliver a perfect neon-like linear visual effect.
We customized a 24V constant-current IP67 silicone-extruded LED neon flex (Neon Flex) for the client. Featuring an advanced constant-current IC driver design, this product guarantees identical brightness from the start to the end of a single-ended 15-meter run. Manufactured via a food-grade silicone multi-color co-extrusion process, it not only delivers soft, seamless linear lighting with zero dark zones or hot spots, but also exhibits superior weatherability (operating temperatures from -20°C to 50°C) and outstanding resistance to yellowing.
The landscape design firm has successfully installed this neon flex on plaza steps, water feature boundaries, and building facades. Having endured a harsh winter, the LED strips have performed stably with zero water ingress and highly consistent light output. The uniform, premium neon effect has significantly enhanced the nighttime commercial atmosphere of the plaza, earning outstanding feedback from the client regarding product quality and long-term durability.
