FAQ
Q: Is this genuinely the brightest strip in the D series?
A: Yes, at 1800 lm/m this is the highest output figure across the entire D series COB range, including both low-voltage and mains-connected models.
Q: How does this compare with the 12V version at the same 640-LED density?
A: Both carry 640 LEDs per metre, but this 24V version delivers 1800 lm/m at 0.66A while the 12V version delivers 1400 lm/m at 1.08A. Running the same density at 24V produces both higher output and lower current draw — a combination the 12V board cannot match.
Q: What size driver do I need for a 5 metre run?
A: At 16W per metre, a 5 metre run draws 80W nominal. Size the driver with at least 20% headroom, so a minimum 96–100W rated 24V driver for a full 5m reel.
Q: Why is the cut interval 25mm rather than the 12.5mm of the 12V version?
A: The circuit segmentation differs between the two voltage versions at this density. This 24V board is optimised for higher output and longer runs rather than the fine cut precision of its 12V counterpart — for that level of cut precision, specify the 12V 640-LED model instead.
Q: Is this strip suitable for a long continuous run?
A: Yes, more so than the 12V version. The lower current draw at 24V supports longer single-feed runs than the 1.08A 12V equivalent, though very long runs should still be fed from both ends to maintain even brightness.
Q: What are the MOQ and lead time?
A: MOQ is 50 sets, lead time 15–21 days. Supplied on 5m reels, 100 reels per carton totalling 500m, shipped from Guangzhou or Shenzhen.
