This model produces a flowing, chasing effect within a single colour. The light travels along the run rather than shifting hue, which reads as movement and depth while keeping the colour temperature consistent with the rest of the installation.
Being single colour also keeps the specification efficient: 800 lumens per metre from 5W, which earns energy efficiency class C — the best rating in the L series, and one achieved here on a dynamic-effect product where the alternatives typically carry a penalty. The strip is supplied with a controller and 3P board connector (SM-3) as part of the accessory set, so the effect works out of the box rather than requiring a separate control purchase. The 3P interface is the giveaway that this is a driven product: three conductors rather than the 2P found on the static models in the range.
One planning point matters more here than on static strips: the cut interval is 100mm, the coarsest in the range apart from the 166.7mm of the 24V chasing model. That interval is the chasing circuit's group unit, not an arbitrary figure, so run lengths must be planned in 100mm steps and the effect will not function correctly if cut elsewhere. Running on DC 12V at 0.41A per metre. Installation is tool-free via double-sided adhesive tape film. Six colour temperatures from 2700K through 6500K are specified at order stage.
